More on "Proclaiming Emancipation"

The University of Michigan's press release on the then-forthcoming by not completed conference, Proclaiming Emancipation, is here.  It includes the following quote from Professor Martha Jones, a member of the Departments of History and of Afroamerican and African Studies as well as the affiliated faculty of the Law School:
"The ability to analyze skills historically is useful for any good litigator," she noted.  "We believe better lawyers, better policymakers, and better judges are those who can think analytically about history."
