Roundtable on Wert, "Habeas Corpus in America"

The 2012 Midwest Political Science Association Meeting featured an "Author Meets Critics" roundtable on HABEAS CORPUS IN AMERICA: THE POLITICS OF INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS (University Press of Kansas), by Justin J. Wert.  According to the Press, the book "[t]rac[es] the history of the writ from the Founding to Hamdi v. Rumsfeld and Boumediene v. Bush," with an emphasis on "the political" rather than "the judicial."

The Law & Politics Book Review has now published written versions of the participants' remarks. Follow the links for reviews by Judith A. Baer (Texas A&M University), Thomas M. Keck (Syracuse University), J. Mitchell Pickerill (Northern Illinois University), and Ronald Kahn (Oberlin College).
