I write like Stephen King?

Well, according to a new site, in my newest essay I write like Stephen King. Could have been worse: a colleague writes like Margaret Mitchell. (Hat tip to Ralph Luker.) News about this site is here.

I write like
Stephen King

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

Addendum: when I posted in the full essay, rather than the first paragraphs, I got this (which strikes me as better, but still wouldn't do much for your tenure file):

I write like
Kurt Vonnegut

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

Whom do you write like?

According to the same site, the author of "Moby-Dick" writes like Daniel Defoe.

I gave up on the nonsense when it classified Orwell's "Why I Write" as written by H.P. Lovecraft.

And others have dug further and discerned that this meme is just an exercise in SEO that has been turned into an advertising opportunity for a vanity press.

Nothing to see here, citizens. Back to your lives.
